I am a native Coloradan, born and raised in Aurora. I graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree, and Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a Masters in Counseling Degree. I currently live in Castle Rock with my husband and two young kids. I’d love to say the typical things Coloradans say about how I love to hike, ski and dirt bike. BUT, I can’t. I love to watch movies on Friday nights while scarfing popcorn. I also love to hang out in yoga pants on days that I haven’t actually exercised or done yoga. I love warm weather, the beach, reading, anything having to do with coffee, and my messy home that is filled with the best things in my life – my family.
My counseling experience includes working in residential settings, on crisis response teams in Denver and Aurora, working in communities and schools highly impacted by trauma, poverty and crime, supporting educators and school administrators in implementing trauma informed practices and preventing workplace burnout, and working with teens, young adults, new moms, and women in all walks and seasons of life. I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and Maternal Mental Health NOW, Animal Assisted Therapy through Pawsitive Therapeutic Interventions, and am a Certified Addiction Counselor II. I currently serve the Parker, Castle Rock and Lone Tree areas.
